Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By adding Guild Butler (the "Service") to a Discord server or using its web dashboard, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if you are a server administrator, the members of that server. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Guild Butler is a Discord bot and companion dashboard that helps Albion Online guilds organize raids, record attendance, and track and settle in-game silver balances. The Service is provided for community management purposes only.

3. In-game currency only

All balances, "banks," taxes, and payouts handled by the Service refer solely to fictional in-game silver recorded as numbers inside Discord. The Service does not connect to your Albion Online account, does not move in-game items or currency, and never processes real money. Guild Butler is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Albion Online or Sandbox Interactive GmbH.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to abuse, reverse engineer, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service; not to use it to harass others or violate Discord's Terms of Service; and to ensure your guild's use complies with all applicable rules of the games and platforms involved.

5. Accounts & Discord

Authentication is handled through Discord. You are responsible for activity under your Discord account. Officer-level permissions within the Service are configured by your server administrators, not by us.

6. Availability & changes

We aim for high availability but provide the Service "as is," without warranties of uninterrupted operation. We may add, change, or remove features, and may suspend the Service for maintenance. Current status is published on our status page.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guild Butler and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of in-game currency, data, or guild standing arising from use of the Service.

1. What we collect

To run the Service we store: your Discord user ID, username, and server (guild) IDs; raid signups and attendance; in-game silver balances, taxes, and payout records you enter; regear requests and any screenshots you attach; and ratings you submit. We collect only what the features you use require.

2. What we do not collect

We never access your Albion Online account or in-game data, never read message content outside our own commands and components, and never collect real payment information through the bot.

3. How we use it

Your data is used only to operate the Service for your guild — rendering raid boards, computing settlements, maintaining the append-only ledger, and showing your dashboard. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. Sharing

Data is visible within your own guild according to the roles your officers configure. Alliance attendance sharing is strictly opt-in and consent-gated, and shares attendance only — never silver balances. We use limited sub-processors (hosting and database) bound by confidentiality.

5. Storage & retention

Data is retained while your guild uses the Service. If the bot is removed, your guild's data is scheduled for deletion after a short grace period, except where we must retain records to meet legal obligations.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Server administrators can export or purge their guild's records from the dashboard, or contact us for help.
